Back before we put the coupe up on jack stands and tore it totally apart (about 2 years ago), Doran and I took the interior apart and laid in Dynamat. We covered the entire floor and particulalry the back "wall" behind the seat and package. It was easy to cut and fit it, and it is self-adhering. We then put on a foam material that Dynamat also makes, on the floor and under the back seat, with two layers on the back "wall". Again, easy to cut and fit, and we used exterior double-sided tape to hold it in place. We even put Dynamat on the bar behind the rear seat that the latches for the seat bolt to --- there had been a resonant "vibration" that appeared to be coming from there. We then re-installed the carpet and seats. It made a real significant difference in the noise level --- especially with the windows up --- and the "resonance" from the back bar was gone.
It wasn't exaclty cheap, but if you plan on driving the car a lot, I suggest you do it. It takes about one good day of work.
