Actually, the warranty booklet as early as 1962 would have a "protecto-plate"
like stamp (impression?) in the back, with owner's name, address, VIN,
engine/trans/diff numbers and a few other things.... I have (had? it's around here
somewhere) a warranty booklet from a 62 FC... but I don't quite remember all
the stuff in the back of the booklet.
I don't know when they started doing it, but that 62 booklet had a lot of
info...
