The Fiero people take these out to put in more exotic stuff -- I would 
think that if you wanted to change the power train, you could think of 
something with a bit bigger WOW! Factor than a Fiero discard -- Quad 4, 
3.1 DOHC, Aurora, Northstar, 350, 302, 3.8 SC V-6, an old Offy, a twelve 
cylinder Vair motor, a Porsche flat 8 or 12 ...

Personally, I like the 164 Vair motors best, and have thought about 
putting one in my 'spare' 2.5 Fiero -- probably never happen, but I have 
thought about it, dreamily ...      just that that little four will get 
tenths short of 40 mpg, is paid for, and runs & drives, as is.
