Smitty Says: It looks like we are just waiting for that one smart cookie to find that 4 lb 20 hp motor that will run at variable speeds driving a super efficient centrifugal blower on less than the 37 amp standard output Corvair alternator. While we are at it we need to utilize the gallon of water that is produced by burning every gallon of gas. I recommend we run duals and stick each exhaust pipe in one of the carbs so that water can cool the engine. I can probably think up some equally goofey ideas, but then why should I . You guys have a corner on it. Like I said before. If you aren't in the garage producing some of your highly intelligent ideas then all you are doing is running your mouths.
Me ? I was in the garage today changing some front end components on the wagon. Although the 64 front end is not the original front axle etc, it came from a car with about the same mileage. Today I changed one of the lower ball joints at 407,000 miles. I don't know if I should atribute that short service life to crappy quality parts or credit the years of service to faithful 2,000 mile lube jobs. In any event, it is rather remarkable don't you think?
