I spent the summer of 1968 in Detroit, MI -- sure seemed like the
prevailing attitude among the guys I was working with was sorta like the
Frito-Lay manta, "Let 'em rust -- They'll make more!" It was sorta a
form of job security -- we were in a steel rolling mill and most of the
production went into new cars ...
