I haven't seen much change from the "original" (meaning when I joined) 
list.  When there were only 40 or 50 of us there was a lot of talk as well 
as a lot of helpful posts.  Those who only want technical posts can be 
better served elsewhere.  Those who want the same mix of socializing and 
tech notes, like an electronic Corvair meet, will find this a comfortable 
place.

  So, my answer to this burning question is -- No, no problem.  :)
