Bob - In this application, wouldn't a "premium" (read - superior 
functioning) seal be made of a material other than Viton (an inferior 
dynamic seal material)? Just because something is made of a more 
expensive material doesn't necessarily mean it will work better in that 
particular application. An example would be a lathe cutting tool made of 
gold (VERY expensive) rather than carbide (much cheaper) .Lon
