<VV> Radio face plate

I think I've read on VV sometime about putting a modern DIN style radio in
a
stock radio case and putting the face plate on hinges. I'd like to hear
details and see pictures. I'm planning to do this for my (manly) sedan.

That would be our esteemed hillbilly friend Mr. Norris from West by God
Virginia and his V8 Crown Corvair.  Although I think he just used a new
radio with the hinged Corvair face plate to hide it.
