Thanks to everyone who responded. Got some great tips. I have tried to play with shims under the hood as per the manual. It has had a little effect, and it appears the hinge is bent, I suspect from the wind snapping it back at some point. I have the stuff to make a tool for removal now, as per Smitty's suggestions. -Geoff Johnson
