Measured with a dial caliper, taking outside and inside measurements of the
studs, then adding them and dividing by two:

        Upper stud spacing    3.4925
        Lower Stud spacing    3.1775
        Spacing between upper and lower studs
                                                2.0075

Close enough for what you need?
