<VV> 65 Auto Trans Help Needed

I'm moving and can't find my idiot books and have packed most of my tools.
Most of my Corvair knowledge has come from manuals and other great
literature provided by many Corvair enthusiasts as well as reading VV.  So I
depend on these books for immediate help with things I have not encountered
before.

 

My 62 Vert with 65 110 Auto drive train is slipping sometimes.  There is
plenty of ATF according to dip stick, just a small drip around the pan (been
there a year or more). The car will take off in first just fine but if I'm
accelerating it will slip into a full spin during the shift into second.  If
I let off the gas it will slide back into second then I can proceed as
normal. Or if I am going slowly it will shift normally into second.  The
Transmission has also not wanted to move when the car is put into drive, but
will if I shift the lever to low then back to drive.  These conditions seem
to come and go but the frequency has increased of late.

 

I haven't had the pleasure of traveling this road before, should you have a
suggestion I'm waiting for directions.
