Vapor Lock  is when the gasoline VAPORIZES  and the fuelpump cannot pump 
VAPOR.....so you run out of gas...

BUT  the engine still cranks [ turns] over but will not FIRE!!

A loose Electrical connection will cause a no CRANK...or slow crank......
