Originally, there was a metal tab bent over the end of the pin. Many are
missing now and there would just be a triangular whole where that tab once
was. Use a short sheet metal screw (drill a small hole) with the end of it
overlapping the end of the pin.

Subject: <VV> lower shroud question
Does everyone replace their lower shrouds in the cooler weather? Mine were
both missing the pivot pins and bushings on the exhaust duct dampers so I
bought new ones. What I can't figure out is how the pivot pins stay in
place. There's nothing to keep them secure. Can someone please explain to
me how to properly put the lower shrouds back on and keep the dampers in
place?
Thanks in advance
