<VV> No gas pedal

In my case, I'd driven from a shop 45 miles away and into a Target parking lot when I lost it, with pedal loose to the floor and engine ignoring my pleas.  My problem was failure of the mechanic to install the clip holding the throttle rod to the PG.  
   I thanked my good luck in being in a safe place when it happened. And cursed the (long gone, it'e been years) mechanic.  -ron 65,66
