He was driving a sweet looking Harley police bike.  I'm no Harley fan (I actually prefer the so called "rice burners" - sorry) but this one was nice.  I admired it during our conversation and that may have helped in the ticket situation.  

This guy actually started out telling my car wasn't a collector car - which is just one more bogus thing.  An hour later I actually think I convinced it was a collector car - and a sweeeeet one at that baby!!
