Whatever you can get! Seriously, probably ought to have at least .020 maybe
more. I'd feel better with .030 clearance. Since this is your engine, I
will feel just fine with whatever you decide to do. LOL!
Crankcase wall usually isn't the problem, the head studs are. Sometimes
they stick in too far. With different rods the rod end caps or rod bolts
are different and sometimes you need to judiciously remove a bit of case
material or head stud material.
