<VV> baffled

It may be sucking air at one of the two rubber hoses between the tank
and pump. The extra gallons may be just put enough head pressure on the
fuel line to cause the pump to pull little more fuel. One hose at fuel
tank (real easy) except you got a full tank now. The other one over the
starter (be careful under there!)

Getting all the information is most of the solution.

Subject: <VV> baffled

Recently I purchased a 1969 Monza convertible with a 110 pg. Last night
I
was out for a cruise when it quit running. I was able to determine it
wasn't getting fuel. I changed fuel filters and fuel pump but still it
would not run. I knew it wasn't out of gas because I filled the tank
just
25 miles earlier. These miles were around town miles. After scratching
my
head for some time I went and got some gas and filled the tank until it
reached the filler neck. It then started and ran fine. Before filling
the
tank I unhooked a gas line from a carb, loosened the pump, and tried
pumping it up by hand but no luck. Neither a new fuel pump from Clark's
or
a good used one made any difference. With the pickup located in the
bottom
of the tank I don't see how adding a couple of gallons to the top of the

tank would make any difference. Does anybody out there have any ideas?
Is
it possessed?
