You can buy a inexpensive pump for less than $30 at your FLAPS. They are
"square" as opposed to round and tubular. They come in at least two
different strengths; maybe American and metric... I use two on #73 behind
and below the fuel tank/cell. No problems - knock on wood - in 8yrs.
You can buy a Holley red-which is for carbs for about $110 list. I have two
of these on the #89. The new one I bought last year to replace one, failed
this year. However, they are "rebuildable" at least you can remove check
valve and screen and clean, polish-remove any corrosion. You can also take
the bottom pump portion off and there are kits for this.
These are both low pressure. Both feed a half inch line after filters
(between pump and fuel tank) to junction block in engine compartment and
then to carbs: Rochester on one and Webers on the other.. I think the cheap
ones are fine.
