Apparently my comment wasn't clear. If a 10SI alternator is converted to a 
one-wire type, it still has the two additional terminals available that normally 
are connected in the standard three-wire setup.
 
One of these two additional wires ( Pin1) is the one that drives the GEN 
light on the dash. I certainly would think that ANY Corvair owner would want this 
light to be hooked up. If the GEN light isn't wired up, then he only has the 
TEMP light to warn him of a fanbelt failure. And how can he be sure that the 
TEMP switch is working???

So by connecting the Bat terminal to the junction block he has made a 
one-wire hookup. But by adding the GEN light circuit, it is no longer a one-wire 
setup, but now becomes a two wire installation.

He said he made it a one-wire installation and  didn't make clear whether he 
had hooked up the GEN light.
