Just go to any carlot and look at 80's  used cars....all basically the 
same...then to a wrecking yard...

note:  Holley / FORD.....air cleaner has the largest opening....bigger than 
most other 4 bbls...

Check FORD  products....Mustangs are real low profile....fits under the 
engine cover!
also..the had many where the "inlet snokel"  was held to the filter can by 
WINGNUTS!.....

You just need the thermo air mixing valve.......the temp sensor [ mounted 
inside the filter can  and a vacume souce...
