Walmarts policy on batteries (was <VV> Costco tires)

We airplane builders have followed this advice for decades now.  You can't 
imagine how many parts sources suddenly roll up the carpet, lower the 
shades, and lock the doors when they hear "to put it in my 
airplane".  We've been telling them "it's for my dune buggy" or "it's for 
my child's science fair project" for a long time.  In fact, the last wing I 
bought from another builder he made me sign a statement that it was "for 
educational purposes and will not be used on a flying aircraft".
