What kind of gage are you using? A Corsa gage, or something aftermarket? 
For the Corsa gage, simply run a wire from the thermistor (use VERY high  
temperature wire at the engine end, preferably the short harness supplied by one  
of the vendors, you're fry the insulation on anything else from the manifold  
heat) to the connection on the plug on the dash fro the sensor. 
If you're using an aftermarket gage, follow the manufacturer's  
recommendation. But I'd install the sender where the factory one goes.
