Since I pressed my 62 wagon into service as my way to work I've experienced a
lot of the things mentioned. The wagon never failed to start, kept up fine
with traffic, stopped in a timely manner when called to and on occasion came in
handy when hauling "stuff" home.Only slight problem has been a noisy fan
bearing.
It evoked lots of thumbs up, wanna sell it,what is it,and do you know
Ralph N?On the other hand I've noticed just how terrible drivers have become. You
don't really notice to much in the sterile world of a new car but with the
windows down and out among the sights and sounds it's noticeble. Cell phone users
galore, people tailgating like crazy, zooming around you at breakneck speed
and you pull up to them at the next light. Also they like to pull out in front
of you because they figure "it's an old car it can't go fast"
My goal in 2006 is to drive my Corvairs at least once a week to work
throughout the year. That includes my 63 conv, 60 coupe&sedan and 64 ramp and yes
the trusty wagon.
I might mention the reason to press the wagon into service was the 78 day
wait till my wifes Chevy HHR came in, she drove my Dakota!!!!!
