<VV> Corvair options

Hey guys,
Remember that someone had to place orders for these cars, and that person was
frequently (if not always) one of the dealer's managers or salesmen. So what
you are seeing here is the result of various salesmen's ideas on what might be
wanted by the public and what might sell.
In addition, I'll speculate that the factory often offered *specials* on
various options when they (the factory) got overloaded with excess inventory.
After all this was well before just-in-time-deliveries of material from the
factory's suppliers. Thus the factory ordered plenty of what their planners though
would sell, and when surprised, had to unload the stuff. That might have
resulted in options being added to cars in production that were not ordered by the
dealers.
Regards,
Bob Helt
