I think I put a different meaning from you on 'speculating'! I interpreted 
you as meaning he wanted to make a fast buck on them by buying them and then 
re-selling them straight away, which wouldn't preclude him actually 
receiving them first! I guess you meant re-selling them before he had seen 
or received them, which as I (and I think you) think, would be way out of 
order on eBay!
