A friend of mine in Ada has 3 King Midgets.  He has converted them to 
slightly higher horsepower.  One has 20hp and the other has 18hp.  He 
designed his own differential - the originals had drive to just one rear 
wheel (can you say torque-steer?).  He used the variable torque converter 
belt drives and racing go-kart disk brakes.

They run like the proverbial bat out of hell.  He's started a revolution in 
the KM club with lots of conversions being done.

He used to build 3-wheel mopeds that were sold in the hundreds to military 
bases and large-site manufacturers.
