I have 205/60R15 Pirelli P-6000 tires mounted on 1981 Camaro alloy wheels
on the front and rear of our stock suspension 1965 Corsa. The wheels are
15X7 with a 4-1/8" backspacing. There is no rubbing; in fact, there seems
to be space for a slightly larger tire--possibly 215/60R15.
Your right, I ran 215/65/15 T/A's (front and rear) for years on my stock
Corsa, they only hit on the right front lower fender lip in a sharp turn, left
side was fine. Wheels are Camaro Z-28 star alloys with 4 1/4" back space. Have
205/50R15's on front and 225/50R15's on rear mounted on same wheels and will see
how the fit when I change springs this weekend (rears cut 1 coil, fronts look
like 2 , do know they are 3" shorter then stock)
Then on my 65 PG/AC car I have 195/70/14's and Speedo is dead on with the
road side RADAR checks they have around here.
