Any
experience with the pre-formed panels from Clarks? I have never
welded in floor pans before and dont know how to go about cutting
out the old floors, esp at the attachment to the frame rails at the
front and rear. Also, I have rust out at the dog leg on the
rear frame rail
Hey Keith,
I'm sure you'll get lots of positive responses on the replacement panels for
Lon or Clark's. I've used several and they were perfect fits. The hardest
thing was cutting the spot welds from the subframe, but that wasn't even that
hard. When I replaced my panels, I 'glued' them in with Fusor adhesive. It's like
a 2 part epoxy and real easy to work with.
Sorry, but I can't get you an employee discount for your '67 Skyhawk <G>.
Please don't blame me for any performance issues with your plane, I wasn't here
then and haven't done 'bugsmashers' for about 5 years.
