The spacers I'm referring to are little rubber bumpers
that are merely placed in-between the coils of the
spring.
As it turns out the springs were put on backwards.
Apparently, the more coils a spring has, the easier it
is to compress the spring. Since the left side of the
'64 needs more support, the spring with the lesser
number of springs should have been used there. After
swapping the rears from right to left and left to
right, the lean (for the most part) is no longer
present.
