After the trip next day started 64 up and had a lot of lifter noise had not had this for a long time, anyone have a reasonable explanation why this happened, I think it is just one of those weired corvair things,.By the way mom is in her 80s and doing great&lt;snip&gt;
 
Mine does this only after a long highway run followed immediately by shutdown and rest.  My guess is, the oil gets hot and thin -- more so than city driving, which I do gently -- then runs out of the lifters once the pressure is off.
 
One other Vairiable is the sloping driveway where I normally park after these runs.
