<VV> VV Re: anyone race their Corvair in the dirt?

As a matter of fact, the Sunday before the convention I ran my 'winter beater' 65 Monza coupe in a local 'rallycross'.  This was basically an autocross in a field; there was a course bulldozed through the ample weeds, with cones.  As the only Corvair there I won the combined class (me & a Mercur).
It was actually a lot of fun, except when I ripped off the muffler.
