In the process of rebuilding your carbs you should have:
(1) blown compressed air through all passages
(2) used a very small gauge wire to insure they were clear
of scale, varnish and rust
(3) used carb and choke cleaner to insure all of the above
were clear of the terrible three
(4) re blow compressed air to insure you have successfully
accomplished 1,2 and 3.
If you simply soak and wash with water like most carb cleaners
instruct you will not get the small intricate passages clean.
