Don't take it to an auto mechanic unless he's had Corvair experience (and
there aren't many).  It's not too hard to do yourself, two pushrods at a
time, and if it seems too formidable, find a Corvair mechanic.  You could do
it in about six hours, maybe seven or eight if you take the time to clean
and paint the valve covers and scrub the pushrod tubes clean.  You'll need
to replace the cork valve cover gaskets, also.  Read up on it in the Tech
Guide and there are detailed instructions in the book Corvair Basics which
is available from the Corvair vendors..
