Oxy-Acetylene torch.  Heat the ear of the manifold (NOT the stud) and work
the stud loose when the ear glows red.   Even if the stud were to break
anyway, you can still use the torch to "cut" the broken stud segment out of
the manifold without harming the cast iron, done it many times.
