I responded with the info on '68 BOP front shocks for the mid size GM cars.
Probably '65 thru '69 will also work. But I still recommend you check the
collapsed height carefully against the specs or a real Corvair front shock. You
must have the Corvair top rubber bumper to install of the top of the shock as
well. I still have a new set of Sears Steadyrider RT (radial tuned) shocks
No. 28 93873 if that helps--I hope the number is still good. They have worked
well for me--nice smooth ride and they bolt right up. There seem to be more
choices out there for Corvair shocks than when I bought these ten or more years
ago. I was spoiled by Koni shocks on my F41 equipped Corvair and I like a
stiffer front end without spending too much money. Because the mid size GM cars
carried more weight over the front axles I was happy with how these shocks
worked on my LM Monzas. (and you can always splurge and get the Koni's from
Clark's).

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have a reference book that can cross reference shocks. Some one
told me that maybe that 68 Buick Skylark or 68 Mailbu use the same front
Delco shocks as the 65 Vair. Can anyone comfirm this information? Also are
the following numbers Vair shocks 3186986 and 3186935.
Thanks in advance
