Most publications I'm familiar resist publishing their articles online (at
least for several months) for fear of losing the readership of the printed
copy. In fact, when an author submits an article for publication, he is
usually giving up the publishing rights to that article and thus not
allowed to post his own "original" copy somewhere online.
