<VV> Corvair emblem copyright question

I was thinking of taking a picture of the turbocharged emblem
that is on the engine lid of a Spyder, having it digitized, then
having it embroidered onto a shirt for myself.

Would anyone know if I would be getting into copyright problems?
Would there be copyright problems for the embroidery company if
they sold items with the turbo emblem on them to people other
than me? The owner of the embroidery company is a relative of
mine.

Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks.
