<VV> Unsolvable Clutch Problem in my FC

I don't know whether this would apply to an FC, but in my '65 car, I had a
similar problem which I traced to a bent clutch pedal.  The outside edge of
the pedal was bent/twisted toward the floor so that it contacted the floor
in the area which is raised to clear the wheelwell.  That limited the pedal
travel just enough to keep the clutch from fully disengaging.  A pull on a
crescent wrench twisting the pedal up on the outside edge solved the
problem.
