Folks
late nights working on the EUM. The Drivetrain is in !!!!! Carbs on, Linkage,
fuel lines, pump, Perimeter seal, Pics to be taken tomorrow evening, and Will
send to Ron Guy to post on the website.

MATT: BITE ME!!!!! Someone sent me an E mail telling me to do that to you
frequently---I like it a bit myself.

Now for opinions from the group.

Since the EUM engine was originally built to go into a 64 van, it has an EM
blower bearing, with different bolts from LM's. Of course "ULTRA" Bolts had
to be found, and the only EM engine I have at the house is out of a 60 I
parted out about 10 years ago.
Boy, you sure have a lot of dookie to go thru to get TO the Pulley/Blower
Bearing Bolts. But when I got the 60 Choke-Air Filter Ass'y off and could get
to the bolts, There was a plastic dust cap covering the top of the blower
bearing!!!

Now I have owned a few 60's and have parted a few out. I have probably looked
at around 500 -1000 different Corvair engines in the 17 years since I first
caught this disease. I have NEVER seen a dust cap on a blower bearing.

Are ALL Corvair motors supposed to have one??? Has anyone, especially our
members who were fortunate enough to buy Corvairs new at the dealer remember
any models that sported this cap???

Kind of reminds you that you can be involved in a hobby for many years, but
don't think you've seen everything there is to see.

On List Replies please!!!
