Interesting stuff; all. adding to my list of things to check if and when i
have a similar problem.....again.
But, noticed, everyone has assumed that the engine compartment is properly
sealed. Is it? without the engine seal around the perimeter of the engine
bay -- especially the rear -- the lines get heat soaked.
how I got my convertible - gent didn't drive it because when he when an
errand, he had to wait 30-40 minutes for the car to cool down to go again.
$20 of engine seal material, and viola, no more problem.
I vote vapor lock.
