My how time flies when we are having fun!   All I find in the archives 
about these baffles was in Feb, 2003 -- six years ago.  No wonder I 
don't remember it, but maybe this time it will stick.  We can dream, 
can't we?

Thanks to all who helped identify the true purpose of these bgaffling 
baffles -- they're not a "summer/winter" plate, but an anti carb icing 
baffle.
