Hi
I'm out of work today, (steele rubber products) but before you start messing
with a strip of rubber, check the overall length (OAL) of your gasket with a
tape or use a string then laid on a tape.
It MAY be the same as the small pickup truck window,
Small center window - 90" long.
Steele sells the part as a vulcanized ring with locking strip.
60-0082-83, 42.50 for the set plus shipping.
With a vulcanized ring, you install the glass into the gasket and install
the assembly into the truck, then push in the locking strip.
I know the originals didn't come this way, I've a 62 rampy myself. but if
the OAL is 90", and you're interested in checking this out before you
install the part you have, let me know, reply with your name/mailing address
and I'll send you a sample tomorrow.
