Hello Karl,

I think I can answer all the questions in your 2nd paragraph. Last year I wrote a review of the CNHCA Dust-Off and some other members supplied some good photos. This was all printed in the June 2010 VairForce Newsletter. I'll put the PDF link below.
Let me know if you can't open it. This should give you a good feel for their show. It's a nice low-key event. Ray

Hello Bay State Corvair folks....

It will be at least a couple of years before I drive my Corvair anywhere. I was thinking of bringing my family to the dustoff so I can gawk at a bunch of Corvairs. It would have been awesome to get Ray and Kathy's house and see if there were someone with room in their Corvair to accommodate us to ride to the show. However, even if someone were to be so accommodating, it wouldn't be practical, and there's no way I can get the entire troupe to Milford by 7:45 in the morning unless our lives depended on it.

Anyway, what could you tell me about the show as a spectator. How many Corvairs are expected to be there (i.e. is it worth the trip for someone who's not driving a Corvair just to check out the cars with his wife and two wee ones aged 8 months and 22 months)? When does the show end? Will there be anything else going on (i.e. food, other attractions that will be helpful to amuse the rest of my family)?

I know the area, though I've never been to the Hopkinton Fairgrounds, I have driven through that part of New Hampshire on I-89 about a thousand times and I figure that it's probably about an hour and a half from Boston.

Anyway, thanks for indulging my questions. I do have a few shows I'd like to get to this season, but as I will be a spectator only and I will be using rare family time on weekends, I want to choose wisely (and want to maximize my Corvair exposure).

A SLIGHT ERROR - My neighbors will probably not appreciate you banging on their door at 7:45 on a Saturday morning so come to '6' KRAFT ROAD in Milford, (not #7), if you want to join this group heading to the NH Dust-Off.

Who's going to the New Hampshire Dustoff this coming Saturday, May 21st ?

As everyone knows, it's always more fun and especially safer to travel in packs, so there will be two official "Corvair Convoys " heading north.
Both will meet at between 7:30AM and 8AM, both leaving promptly at 8 AM (so if you say you're gonna be there, don't be late cuz the bus will be leaving!)

One Corvair Convoy will meet at Ray and Kathy Bombardier's at 7 Kraft Rd. in Milford and head north up Route 495. Contact Ray at bomma at comcast.net to let Ray and Kathy know you're coming.

The other convoy will meet on Route 128 at the Lexington rest stop by Route 2A. Most likely, they'll go up Route 3. Contact Sharon at shalibra at verizon.net to let Chuck and Sharon know you're going to meet them there.

We'll plan to make 1 bathroom break at the Rest Stop / State Liquor Store just after the Hookset, NH toll booths on route 93 where we hope to regroup to arrive at the Dust-Off together.

Any questions??????

ALSO! If you are not planning to go the NH, are you considering the Charity Show at Larson Tool in Attleboro, MA.that was posted in last month's newsletter?
