Celia,
I've had 3 of these, and have had no trouble. The first one was a lot like the one shown, and eventually I got rid of it
because it was so dark inside. Also, you get more room inside with the "shed" style roof rather than the "Quonset" style here.
I used that first one over a car in my driveway and I had trouble with water coming in under the sides, but my driveway doesn't
have good drainage. The other two are both the "shed" style, and I keep boats in them. The second one is a very cheap one
and the steel tubes are quite far apart so, worrying about snow load, I added some wood slats under the roof going across
the supports. I didn't brace up the other two and never have had a problem.
I would look at Shelterlogic before deciding anything. All 3 of mine were made by them, and I'm impressed with the engineering and
quality of them. (I bought the 3rd one knowing it was low-end). http://www.shelterlogic.com/

Subject: EXTERNAL: BSCC- Anyone have experience with a portable garage?
Someone local to us is selling a portable garage like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-9x17-PORTABLE-CAR-GARAGE-SHELTER-CARPORT-BOAT-RV-/390265210903?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0
Anyone have experience with these? Would they hold up to New England snow load? Do they keep the car dry?
Thanks for any wisdom.
Celia
