If the balancer slips on the rubber you'll get an incorrect timing light reading.  It may not fall apart but may slip.  Just a heads up.

I am begining to think about replacing the balancer and the engine mount on my '67 110.
The rubber on the mount is dry, cracked and it is slightly dipped in the center.
The rubber is cracked on the balancer.

I have attached pictures of the items.

Are there any other signs I should be looking for?

Does it make sense to replace both of these items at the same time?

Just looking for some input, as both items are expensive.

Thank you in advance -
