Ditto. Brudda Dave is right on with this. You are covered as he stated, allowing one windshield per year.

I just had my windshield in my Porsche replaced last year and it is registered in MA. NO CHARGE, 100% covered by the insurance. Regardless of where or how it got broken it should be covered. I believe it is part of the fire and theft insurance coverage (as long as you have Fire & Theft insurance on the car, if you only have liability it may be a problem). Usually you do not have to even go to the insurance company - I just called mine, told them where I was bringing the car, and filled the paperwork out at the glass place - really easy.

    Hi guys,
Sorry not Corvair related, but I have a question that DOES have to do with automobiles...

Debi's car was hit with a baseball while leaving the Rhode Island College campus after attending a class there. The windshield was cracked and is not repairable. She filed a report with the campus security and is in the process of trying to get them to pay for replacement...however, if they refuse, my question is:

Does a deductible (other than collision loss) typically apply to this if we go through the insurance company to have the windshield replaced? I know that if the windshield only needed a quick repair there is no cost involved...

    Anyone?
