BSCC- need a part!

My speedo cable snapped and stopped working..

They are a special 144" length that no store carries..and I don't have the $35 to replace it..does anybody have just the inner cable in a parts car, or some old Early model?
Let me know!

P.S. At least my odometer won't be  rackin' up the miles until I replace it!
