BSCC- carb overhauls

Thanks to a very good seminar from Lionel and Steve, I finished rebuilding the 4 carbs on the 140 using clark's 'super delux' kit for the primaries, and minor kit for the secondaries.  Thanks guys!  However, one problem, I have some leftover parts from the kits that I can't identify in the manual.  Can anyone help me?
1) Two clips, I think go on the float pin sides to hold it in place, if needed?
2) A small brass clip, about 1/4" diam, horseshoe shape with a little divot at the top, no idea what its for
3) A small white plastic piece, kind of like a pen cap in shape, but smaller. No idea what its for

The Chem-Dip sure made a big difference in their appearance, as did a few cans of Carb/Choke Cleaner from autozone!
