BSCC- 1966 500 coupe for sale

I recently looked at this car, and made an offer on it. The owner did
not accept it, and I felt I couldn't go any higher,

but told him I'd put it out for the membership.

 

The car was owned by Dave Pierce, a member of our local Corvair club in
the New Bedford area. Dave bought it from

the original owner no later than 1989, and only had it out for parades.
Dave died a couple of years ago and now his son, 

also named Dave, wants to sell it. Its really something - has less than
35K miles, is completely original (110 auto) and 

the body is just about perfect, with just one small ding around one
taillight. The paint and chrome appear to be perfect. 

It's been sitting for years in a garage that has a dirt floor but is
dry. It does have a few problems related to sitting so long.

Chuck and I were able to turn the engine over, but the throttles are
stuck. It certainly needs 5 new tires and a battery, and

I would assume it needs brake work.
