I am a 49 year old father of three. My 15 year old son and I would like to have a 'minor' project car. He's reached that age where if I don't keep him busy, the chances are he'll be tempted by less productive pursuits. I told him that if we are to work on a car, I wanted it to be something old enough that the engines was actually workable. Sparkplugs and distributor caps. Like when my Dad helped me. He was the original inspiration for our pursuit of a 65-69 CORVAIR. I told him to search the internet for older cars that he thought were cool. BANG! He chose the corvair! I have fallen for them too. We are looking for a rust free or nearly rust free example that needs mostly interior restoration or paint. If it could be a solid daily driver that would be ideal. 140hp would be great. I've thought I wanted a 4 speed but an automatic is not out of the question. We are in southern california. hoping to find a car asap. feel free to call me if you know of an opportunity.
